What are HD Brows ?

And How to Get Thicker, Fuller Brows the Easy Way !

HD Brows have been around for a while now and long considered the king of all brow treatments, such is the treatment's ability to fluff up, intensify and restructure even the flimsiest, most overplucked of brows. I mean, it's not called high definition for nothing.

Of course, in more recent years, microblading may have taken the world by storm—but it doesn't offer as many things that HD Brows can. Firstly, HD Brows are a little less permanent, so there's more room for experimentation. Plus, HD Brows are a lot cheaper than microblading, making the treatment a good option for when you haven't got a few hundred to drop on overhauling your eyebrows.

Are we making a good case for reviving this much-loved treatment?

What are HD Brows?

Consider HD brows the full monty of brow treatments—a brow NCT, if you will. Rather than a single hair removal technique, this treatment does a little bit of everything, from waxing, threading and tweezing, as well as tinting.

How little or how much of these techniques the therapist uses is totally down to your individual brow profile and the look you're trying to achieve.

It's a completely personalised service, so you needn't worry about emerging from the salon with ident-a-kit brows that don't suit your face.

**Each step of the HD Brows treatment is completely bespoke, from the initial consultation, shape, design, colour, tailoring and aftercare process—the end result is always what suits that individual the best,**

What happens during a HD Brow treatment?

The process can be split into five stages. First up, there's the consultation, where you can determine your chosen brow look, along with the expert guidance of your therapist, someone who has seen a hell of a lot of brows over the year. During this chat, you'll choose the shape, colour and density.

Next, your brows will be tinted, which will make them look automatically fuller. The therapist will blend up your bespoke colour, just as you'd expect in a hair salon. Then, your therapist will map out the shape of your brow to work with your face shape as well as where your natural hair sits.

The biggest part of the treatment is the hair removal. "HD  have adapted a combination of traditional hair removal techniques including waxing, threading, tweezing and trimming in order to ensure precision and perfection," And then finally, your brows will be finished off using brow pomades and powders. Better still, your HD therapist will show you how it's done, so you can replicate the finish when you're at home.

Is there any prep work required?

A patch test 48 hours ahead of your appointment will help minimise the risk of any reaction, so factor that in if you're looking to time your brow makeover with a special occasion. "It's common that most first-time clients will need to undertake a re-growth programme, which isn’t as daunting as it sounds, as you will have guidance from the HD Brows Stylist on how to 'fake it till you make it.'

Will HD Brows still work on really sparse, overplucked brows?

"Hope is not lost!"  and an expert HD stylists will work with you on a re-growth programme to achieve the perfect brow shape. They will educate you on the areas needed to grow in, as well as recommending a suitable brow product to use in the sparse area, that will give the appearance of fuller brows during the interim period."

How long do HD Brows take?

It's not as quick as a 10-minute threading session, but as it takes around 45 to 60 minutes, you can still just about squeeze it into a lunch break.

How long do HD Brows last ?

The treatment itself lasts four to six weeks, and costs around €30 - €35 depending on location and the stylist's status.
